Tuesday 11th November – remembrance day
The children participated in a whole school assembly to show respect to all service men and women.
Anti Bullying week
For anti bullying week year 5 visited the year 1 classroom to discuss their individual super powers. The children had lots of fun creating their own socks with a variety of materials.
Year 1 Tree Hunt
In science Year 1 have been looking at deciduous trees and evergreens. We took a look around the school grounds to see if we could spot any on our checklist. We revisited our knowledge of the seasons and identified the autumn leaves.
History
In History Year 1 opened their own SVP Shop following our walk to the local shops. We were comparing the old Stockbridge stores to the modern ones.
National Poetry day
Year 1 children focused on poem written by our class author Michael Rosen – Chocolate Cake. We made our very own too.
