School Council

At SVP we believe in a culture of “everyone”, therefore, all children from Year 1 to Year 5 are involved in our weekly School Council meetings. 

Our School Council ensures that all children feel part of the whole school community by having the opportunity to make their voices heard and be actively involved in the decision-making process in our school. Giving children the ability, confidence and oracy skills to present ideas is essential to success in our current world. Our School Council provides a safe child- led environment to do just this. Each week the children have the opportunity to discuss and debate a thought provoking or current affairs issue to help develop these skills. The meetings are led by our amazing Year 6 children who listen to, and feedback, the views and ideas of all children.
